Day 27, luc bat:
Red-shouldered hawk
From the woods, his blast force
disrupts the normal course of things.
Kids point; his beating wings
conjure power, rising and free,
that also stirs in me.
Driving, I stop to see him fly.
He owns this slice of sky,
and no hunt’s on his mind. He rides
the wind until it dies,
drives suburbia wild, wheeling
dance on nature’s ceiling.
What do you mean "no hunt's on his mind"?
ReplyDeleteI mean he's not flying around trying to kill something, just enjoying the wind currents
